WE BELIEVE

There is one God, Yahweh, who exists in three persons. God the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ who is fully God and fully man), and the Holy Spirit.

God the Father is the Creator who speaks all things into existence, as confirmed in the opening chapters of the Book of Genesis.

Jesus Christ is the Son of God, yet equal to God and is unique in that He existed in human flesh and walked among us. As God, Jesus was able to be the perfect sacrifice to atone for our sin nature by living a sinless life and allowing Himself to be crucified and die, therefore, satisfying God the Father’s justice against sin. However, it is in Him that we are granted access to the Father and eternal life because of His victory over death, when He rose from the dead and walked among us once more.

The Holy Spirit is also equal to the Father and Son and completes the triune Godhead. It is the Holy Spirit who was sent into the world by God the Father and Son to comfort, reprove, intercede, lead, minister to, relate to, and appoint us. The Holy Spirit serves as the means that we are regenerated into new creatures and become recipients of eternal life.

Man (and woman) are the beings privileged with being created in the image of God. Human beings were designed to be the stewards of this Earth but fell into sin through disobedience and have been unable to break those chains ever since, until our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ arrived.

Sin is the inherent desire for autonomy from God that leads us to think and act in ways that make us enemies of God.

Salvation is the gift given to us from God the Father through His grace, and the mere belief in the most pivotal moment in human history the death and resurrection of His Son Jesus Christ, that affords us victory over the enslavement of sin. This gift provides us a seat in heaven.

Marriage is the heterosexual and monogamous union designed to reflect the unity of God and the relationship between Christ and His church.
